Derrick Dzurko was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, where his passion for music and entertainment was shaped at an early age through the influence of his older brothers and his close friend, Roquel Payton — son of Motown legend Lawrence Payton of The Four Tops. Having personal access to members of The Four Tops and growing up within Detroit’s legendary Motown culture gave him a rare front‑row view into the worlds of performance, recording, and the business behind the music.
